There are several types of motors available for electric bikes. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Generally, geared motors are the best choice for e-bikes that need increased range and top speed. Gearless motors, on the other hand, have a smaller size, which means that they are easier to pedal.
A dynamo-powered bicycle produces a small current of electricity which lights the back safety lamp. Electric bike motors also need a powerful battery. The weight of an electric bike motor can range from three to five kilograms, so it's important to choose the right motor for your needs. In some cases, a bicycle with a dynamo-powered motor can be difficult to balance. In this case, you can use a lighter bicycle, or one with a larger battery.
Another type of electric bike motor is the rear-mounted hub motor. This type of motor is more discreet than a front-hub motor. A rear-hub motor can blend into the bike's rear wheel gears, making it easier to blend in with regular bikes. The best part about this type of motor is that it won't interfere with your drivetrain, which makes it safer and more convenient to ride.

Troubleshooting:
① Damage judgment of the speed control handle (accelerator pedal):
The source voltage of the handlebar (accelerator pedal) is normal, detect the signal voltage of the handlebar, turn the handlebar (accelerator pedal), the signal voltage should change from low to high within a certain range. If the voltage does not change and is less than 1V, the handlebar (accelerator pedal) is faulty or the handlebar (accelerator pedal) line is short-circuited. If the voltage is greater than 1V and the change is normal, the handlebar (accelerator pedal) is normal, check other items.
② Motor damage judgment:
Detect the signal line of the motor encoder separately, and turn the motor slowly by hand. The voltage of each phase should vary within a certain range. If the voltage does not change, the motor encoder is damaged, and the electric vehicle motor or motor encoder should be replaced. If the voltage transformation of each phase is normal and the power supply is normal, the controller is damaged and the controller should be replaced.
③ Controller damage judgment:
Use a multimeter to detect the voltage of the input terminal of the controller power supply, the voltage should be greater than the rated voltage (the battery is fully charged), if there is no voltage, the input line should be checked. Check the power supply voltage of the controller handlebar (connect the red and black wires of the handlebar), if there is no voltage, unplug the handlebar socket, and the voltage recovers, the motor encoder may be short-circuited, if there is still no voltage, the controller is faulty, The controller should be replaced.
④ Judgment of comprehensive situation:
First check whether the speed control handle (accelerator pedal) and the electric vehicle motor encoder are short-circuited. Generally, it is more likely to cause a short-circuit of the connector after rain and moisture. Therefore, pay attention to the waterproofing of the handle (accelerator pedal) connector. If the controller is damaged, replace it Before the new controller, check whether the signal line of the handlebar (accelerator pedal) and the motor encoder is short-circuited? Otherwise, it will cause continuous damage to the replacement controller.
